Report of Programme “Women in Indian History” conducted on 12th December 2018
Today on 12.12.18 from 11:30 AM onwards to 01:00 PM Prof. Sulbha Patil delivered a lecture on “Women in Indian Literature” organized on behalf of the Women Development Department, GE Society’s College of Education Sangamner.
Dr. Sulbha Patil delivered a lecture on ‘Women in Indian Literature”’ giving a chronological overview of Primitive stage women while discussing all the way to the women in today’s modern societies. A review of how women have been portrayed in Indian literaturefrom ancient history to modern times. She in her speech gave references of Sant Janabai, Muktabai, Meerabai, Leela’s biography, Mahdaisa, Bahinabai Chaudhary, as well as Gargi, Maitreyi, Sita from Ramayana, Draupadi from Mahabharata, etc. for showcasing how women have been struggling to overcome all the social and economic barriers. She also narrated the stories of Saratchandra Chatterjee, Rabindranath Tagore, Amrita Pritam, Ashapurna Devi , etc. Focused on the female characters and personalities referenced in Mahasweta Devi’s literature The students were told about the importance of the book ‘Stree-Purush Tulana’ written by Tarabai Shinde. Also gave an overview on Literature by Sunitabai Deshpande, Madhavi Desai, Kavita Mahajan, Malika Amar Shaikh. The program was presided over by the principal of the college Dr. from Khedekar.
Report of Programme “Women in History” conducted on 25th October 2018
Professor Ulhas Patil gave speech on topic women in history in the event organised by women development department dated 25 10 18 at 11:30 a.m.. he gave an overview on contribution of women and its importance in the Indian history. Hi focused stone struggles and contribution of right from Chand Bibi to maharani tarabai furthermore it describe the then social condition and the importance of cthe ontribution of these women under the then circumstances. While speaking on this he gave an example of how rajmata jijau bought up a king like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the most unfavorable circumstances which clearly makes on understand the harsh efforts took by women. Further you also mention the great sacrifice of maharani Yesu bhai aaj wife of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Maharani tarabai hot Mughals nearly for 11 continue years safeguarding Swaraj in the harshest of the regime. During his speech he also focus stone one of the most underrated topics of learning history and the contribution of women in Indian historic scenario so as to understand the importance of the work and sacrifice. From his speech he highlighted to the audience and students the contribution of women in different aspects of life and their importance towards the social development of India. Report of Programme “Cancer identification and prevention Camp” conducted on 23rd February 2023
On 23/02/23 GE Society’s College of Education Sangamner in association with Inner Will Club, Sangamner organized a Camp for free cancer checkup and preventive guidance session. Mrs. Vrukshali Kadlag, President of Inner will club were the guest of honar and Chief speaker Dr. Ekta Wabale guided on identification and prevention of cancer to the students of B.Ed 1st and 2nd year. This program was organized under the guidance of Dr. Sandhya Khedekar, Principal, College of Education, Sangamner. Students participated in the camp by asking different questions and involved themslef in the program wholeheartedly. Prof.Sunil Desale of GE Society’s College of Education oversaw and organized the program successfully. The program was conducted under the Women’s Developmet Cell, GE Society’s College of Education, Sangamner.
